Job Title: Staff Digital Signal Processing EngineerSummaryIn your Staff Digital Signal Processing engineer role, you will be leading the research, design, and validation of audio DSP algorithms for state of the art hearing aid instruments. As a Staff engineer, your responsibility will include research and prototyping of innovative audio processing algorithms, participation in clinical studies and internal research projects, and leading complete implementation of an algorithm.Essential duties and Responsibilities Generating IP on innovative audio DSP algorithms for the systems Research and prototyping of new audio algorithms and performance evaluation of existing algorithms Design and implementation of a modelling framework for hearing aid audio processing Provide leadership for the design of algorithm validation and benchmarking protocols, for the evaluation of new system design and hardware prototypes, and for the design of clinical studies for the validation of new algorithm Documenting software architecture designs, APIs, algorithms, and experimental study resultsQualifications Expert knowledge in audio digital signal processing with specialization in voice processing Expert knowledge in high level programming languages including Matlab and C/C++ or C# Expert knowledge of the algorithms used in hearing aid instruments. Algorithms include dynamic range compression, feedback cancelation, noise reduction, beamforming, adaptive filtering, frequency domain filtering, sound classification, binaural processing, sample rate conversion In-depth experience using audio equipment such as Audio Precision, Kemar head-and-torso simulator, ear-simulator, microphones, and audio software for sound recording, editing, and acoustic measurements Expert knowledge of acoustics and psychoacoustics Familiarity with the design of clinical studies Good knowledge of embedded system architecture and familiarity with hearing instrument system architecture Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead a team in a highly cooperative environmentEducation, Experience, and Publications Minimum Master s degree in a field related to audio signal processing, PHD preferred 7+ years of related experience Track-record of peer-reviewed publications and IP in related fieldsZIP2019P
